Duckt is a startup solving the most pressing challenges of micro-mobility providers and users: locking, docking, and charging.

We partnered with the Duckt team to find suitable testbeds for usability pilots and outlined a go-to-market strategy for entering Berlin.

Challenge

The micromobility revolution is taking on cities at unprecedented speed. While adding an effective and sustainable new way of moving around public space, scooters are causing some headaches too. Istanbul born and Tallin based Duckt, aims to solve at least a few of those. It offers a universal dock, lock and charge station that keeps scooters and e-bikes charged, vandalism safe and at the right place.

Approach

Duckt’s founders are exceptionally mindful of externalities and disruptions that micro-mobility can bring to the city if managed poorly. As they aim to truly enhance the local mobility system it needs to be well understood in the first place. Going this extra mile requires well-informed local partners to keep the pace of growth. We partnered with Duckt, to help them understand how city mobility works and how Duckt can make it better.

Results

After in-depth research of the local mobility system, we aimed to put Duckt right in the middle of Berlin micro-mobility ecosystem. By mapping and connecting to the right stakeholders we helped the company form strategic partnerships with scooter operators, and location owners and win the interest and acceptance of those who matter most—citizens.
