Go-to-market and testbed support for a coffee waste circularity startup.

Go-to-market + Testbed support

6 Months | Berlin

EcoBean, a Warsaw-based green tech company, has developed an innovative method of refining coffee waste into valuable prime products.

We helped EcoBean expand its reach and establish a presence in German by helping them navigate the market, overcome regulatory hurdles, explore growth opportunities, and pave the way for a circular Giga-factory near Berlin.

Context

InnoEnergy, an organization committed to supporting sustainable energy startups, approached us to assist EcoBean with strategy support. As EcoBean sought to expand its operations into Germany, they required a sparring partner that could help them understand the market and get to know the right stakeholders.

Our Role

We provided EcoBean with a full market overview and jointly developed potential growth scenarios based on their core technology and skills. By leveraging our network, we introduced EcoBean to key stakeholders in Berlin relevant for their expansion plans.

Results

The clarity we added to their business vision helped EcoBean find the right angle to set foot in the country. Today, EcoBean is bringing circular solutions to companies such as Starbucks, Prio, and Delta Cafés, from Germany to Portugal.

About EcoBean

From sustainable chemicals to consumer products.

EcoBean is an end-to-end circularity company, providing solutions from collection to up-cycling. The unique refinement process allows them to turn coffee waste into materials such as protein additives, lignin, PLA or sustainable chemicals. These materials can then find their way into consumer products like coffee cups, flowerpots, or construction materials.
